Dialects (accents) are a wonderful tool for storytelling. They are also hard. I am a dialect coach because I am a nerd about sounds, and I love teaching them.

I was the dialects instructor at Carol Hickey Acting Studio in Austin, TX for two years. I taught RP (Standard British), Cockney, NYC, and French dialects to ages 8-18. I have coached multiple productions with varying dialects, from full-scale musicals to kickstarter-funded plays.

I trained under Kate Glasheen at Texas State University, where I was her mentee for many years. Learning from one of the greatest dialects instructors in the country taught me how to: listen for specifics, replicate sounds, break down the anatomy of making sounds, and teaching to all skill levels.

My production coaching involves working one-on-one with the actors, collaborating with directing and design teams, and maintaining the standards throughout the rehearsal process
